I started my 1st sailing charter San Diego business over 30 years ago when I was 22 years old, and I’ve had the pleasure of sharing my love of sailing with thousands of guests over the years.
In 2001 after 15 years of sailing charters in San Diego, I purchased my 1st big catamaran and sailed off to Costa Rica to charter in Flamingo. After my 1st charter, I was able to see how much more fun my guests were having sailing on my catamaran, compared to all the “single hulled” boats I had been using in San Diego for so many years. When you come out for a sail with me, you will experience this for yourselves. Catamarans really are more fun. On our catamaran San Diego cruise, you will get the chance to experience a casual friendly atmosphere where you can kick your shoes off and unwind. During our San Diego small boat tours, you’ll notice we offer a “non touristy and commercial” experience with no phone #s on the sails and no logos plastered all over the boats. I believe it’s great to be a tourist, but not to feel like a tourist.
I currently offer two beautiful big catamarans, “Tigress” and “Wind Drum” Both of my catamarans I brought all the way from Florida, and I sailed “Tigress” 5000 miles through the Panama Canal just for sailing adventures in San Diego. Both of my sailing catamarans are pretty special boats with a giant patio like open-air seating. Since we only do day charters, it’s all about the big space for lounging on deck.
I don’t operate a big charter company with 100’s of boats, and you will notice the difference in service, and the excellent condition of my boats right away. You will be sailing aboard my personal boats, and you’ll feel like you’re just out sailing with friends, which I believe is what makes us one of the best sailing tours in San Diego.
